About us

J.A.C.S Specialists Ltd (J.A.C.S) provides support to vulnerable young people aged 16 – 18 to help them gain the confidence and skills needed to live independently. We are also there to give young people the emotional and practical support needed in their day-to-day lives to help them overcome obstacles and help keep them on track. Through supporting young people in this way they are better prepared for managing their future tenancies and therefore prevent homelessness and social exclusion from mainstream community.

Young people are supported in either a flat with an ensuite or in their own self contained flat. All young people are provided with their own living space. We encourage social interaction amongst peers fully supported by staff 24 hours a day.

Work for us

People choose to work with young people for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find it both challenging and rewarding.

Our Vacancies

Young People are encouraged to take part in both group and individual activities which not only take account of their ethnicity, culture, language, religion, interests and abilities but also help to deepen and widen a young persons experience of diversity. For example we encourage young people to experience food, festivals and films from different cultures.

If a young person moves into our placement and they already take part in an activity, club or hobby, we will endeavour to support them to continue this or encourage then to take up new ones based on their interests and aptitude in any particular area.
